This place is a coffee lovers delight !
Absolutely love the decor , it’s so fresh and funky . When you walk in, it’s a little like wonderland in that you don’t know where to look first . There is also an amazing amount of coffee paraphernalia- everything from machines to milk jugs , bean grinders and coffee filters ( and even a few bags of their own roasted coffee)
There are a few options available at the counter , and this day I chose the Sofia , which was described as ‘a dark cocoa with a hint of caramel ‘ it was dark roasted and very pleasant with a lovely crema . I also had the gluten free Berenberg chocolate and ginger tart , which had a very interesting filling , almost like a light sponge with changed texture as it was eaten . This was topped with what I’ll describe as a ginger orange marmalade. It went well with the coffee.
The staff here were very welcoming and friendly - my friend and I were engaged in several conversations - and they answered any questions that we had . Apparently the shop goes through 18/19kg of beans a day , and for the shop they roast the beans darker , but do a medium roast for the wholesale side of things . They were roasting a batch while we were there ; it was quite fascinating to watch and the smell was very enticing .
We saw a few families siting here as well , as it’s quite child friendly and has a little play area set up for kids .
As we were leaving a also saw a coffee gin flight with my name on it , so will need to make a return trip . It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and one for coffee lovers !
Delightful coffee at this hidden gem in the industrial estate. The place to go for all things coffee. Browse, taste and buy. Amazing food and friendly staff too. Always a pleasure to drop by
My cappuccini were disappointing, not enough coffee flavour to cut through the milk let alone the complexity required for the best brews. I expected more because they are a roaster so had hoped it would prove better than the mediocre average shamelessly delivered around Adelaide. My vanilla slice was pasty and unpalatable. However, loved the venue and staff seemed pleasant so may be worth another try - but i certainly won't be going out of way!
Been here twice & not happy with the food.
First lot of eggs I ordered runny, well they came out so undercooked with all that albumen on top. Asked the next lot to be cooked over easy, they came back so over cooked its not funny.
Ffs, it's not hard to cook an over easy egg. Owner said we don't have a chef, only cooks.
This is the second time we have had an unsatisfactory meal here and again it was not as ordered. We ordered a vegetarian pizza, but it was completely missing both mushrooms and caramelised onion, and very little capsicum. This place needs some management of the kitchen. Will not be back.
Great place to chill with family and friends. Great coffee and we had a short tour on the small roaster room. We came back for the 5th time this year. 👍🏽
Hidden at the back of South Road you will find an Coffee roaster coffee shop. Great environment and micro roast blends available for those coffee enthusiast.
Note, a large in Adelaide is a Jumbo in Sydney. I keep forgetting that.
A nice hidden cafe beautifully designed inside. Food/drinks are great, we’ve had one bad meal served, however every other meal has been fantastic and we go once every few months. Staff are always lovely. Toilets are clean. The kids area could be cleaner. Nice and easy access with a pram!
